About Famous Novel Raja Gidh

 I read this novel two years ago today, and once I reached the end, I picked it up again for a week's time to read. Banu Qudsia's novel Marakkalara was published in 1981. According to its title, the novel is a mixture of two words, Raja Gidh and Gadha. In which Raja is king and vulture means dead bird. Banu Apa has taken Raja vulture as a symbol that vulture eats dead bodies, why does it eat? Is it part of his nature? Did man's mail make him accustomed to it? The subject of this novel is taken as a symbol of the instincts of some human beings, the characteristics of the vulture that eats the carcass. The story as a whole revolves around a number of theories. One is Freud's theory of human instinct, where human appetite must be fulfilled in any case.

But the author says that such appetite is the pursuit of unrequited love.

The second theory is that the biological change that occurs in man from haraam and halal food, which is a major cause of metaphysical and human psychological change, the results of which are visible far and wide, and many generations to come, either all the time or one generation. Sammy is a girl from the same family who is the main character of this story. In fact, the story is about Aftab's carpet maker family, rich and handsome young man, Sami Hussain and belonging to rich class. I come and get married according to their wishes. Sammy finds the trauma unbearable and sets up Qayyum in the wrong ceremony simply because Aftab and Qayyum may have had sex together in the hostel together, yet he himself She could not refrain from taking such a drastic step, but her parents still did not return. The story takes another turn where Professor Sohail, who is the three sociology professors at Government College Lahore, meets Qayyum. Professor Sohail Qayyum, seeing the condition of the ulcer, suggests doing various yoga exercises. Qayyum's condition is due to his illicit relations with various women where his body and soul have been badly affected. Qayyum is the person of the society whose shumai fate sees that the woman he is moving towards is first associated with someone and thus Qayyum's relationship with her fulfills the symbolic meaning of vulture. The author justifies this by saying that his previous generations committed such a crime and haraam sustenance.

The story ends with Aftab's son returning to Pakistan, where he drives him insane. Now, seeing his son in a state of insanity, he will endure the torment and agony for the rest of his life, which is the reward for his abuse of Sammy.

The author's style is simple and in keeping with modern day requirements. The mixing of English words in Urdu is a common practice in the novel as it is a common practice today which makes the representation of educated and upper class essential for coloring the reality and nurturing the atmosphere in the story. According to new scientific knowledge, food reaches the stomach and causes not only physical but also mental changes which deprive man of self-control.

The novel explores some of the most disturbing aspects of religion that are ignored. The aspect of virtue alone gives rise to vile morality, where falcons and eagles are not born, but vultures are born and embrace the society. Written in metaphorical fiction, the novel is not entirely symbolic, which makes it easy for the reader to access and also a source of comfort to today's reader, who dwells on the real world rather than fantasies. This novel is, of course, a psychological novel and a classic.
